Morgan Asia Pacific will be our next speaker for our flagship event, Wharton Speaker Series. This event will be hosted by Ferdinand Cheuk, President of the Wharton Club of Hong Kong.
Nicolas has been with J.P. Morgan for close to three decades in a career that has taken him all over the world and allowed him to meet with some of the planet’s most influential people in business and governments. He has been based in Hong Kong since 2012 and spent a lot of time meeting clients across the region and in particular China. We are delighted that he has agreed to share his views with us over dinner on how to have a successful and rewarding career in global companies as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by multi-national corporations and financial institutions in China as the country continues to further liberalize its markets.

About the Speaker
Nicolas Aguzin
Nicolas joined J.P. Morgan in 1990 in Buenos Aires and has spent his career advising clients on strategic cross-border and corporate finance transactions. Prior to his current role, Nicolas was CEO for J.P. Morgan in Latin America and led the firm’s investment banking business in the region. Nicolas also served as the firm’s Senior Country Officer for Brazil from 2008-2009 and earlier in his career held several senior investment banking roles in New York where he focused on mergers and acquisitions. During his career, he has lived and worked in New York, Buenos Aires and now Hong Kong.
Nicolas is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Asia Society. He also serves on the Board of Directors for MercadoLibre, Inc, Latin America’s leading e-commerce company, and is a member of the Asia Pacific Council of The Nature Conservancy.
Nicolas holds a bachelor degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
