The Wharton Club of Hong Kong is delighted to announce our next Wharton Speaker Series event on Friday, October 22nd featuring fellow Wharton Alumni Dr Jacob Kam WAM'05, CEO MTR Corporation on the topic "MTR-Keeping Hong Kong Moving"
The event is Hosted by George Hongchoy at The Hong Kong Club, on behalf of The Wharton Club of Hong Kong.
We are also very happy to inform that as The Hong Kong Club, private banqueting comes under "Group D" as per the Covid protocols of Hong Kong Government, hence we will be able to have a regular size event subject to all attendees being fully vaccinated at least 14 days before the event date.

Price: HKD 800 (including Dinner)
Young Alumni Discount: HKD 700 (including Dinner), only for alumni who have graduated 2017 or later
Guests: Alumni are welcome to register their guests for the event at the event price of HKD 800, please email us your guest name for printing name card for your guest.
Dress Code: Business Attire (please refer HK Club website for the Club's dress code policy)
VERY IMPORTANT Covid Protocols: All participants need to follow all applicable social distancing norms that The Hong Kong Club would impose as per the prevailing Social Distancing norms of the Govt of HK-SAR on the day of the event, including but not limited to: being fully vaccinated prior to 14 days of the event, using the Leave Home Safe App / QRCode for proof of vaccination, No fever or symptoms, No contact with Covid Suspect, Haven't travelled outside HK in last 14 days, Haven't been in close touch with anyone who has traveled outside HK in last 14 days. Please note that proof of vaccination will be checked by HK Club at the venue.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Jacob Kam Chak-pui, Chief Executive Officer ("CEO"), MTR Corporation
Dr Kam joined the MTR Corporation Ltd in 1995 and had held various management positions in the Operations, Projects and Mainland China and International Business Divisions. He was appointed as the CEO on 1 April 2019, and has been a Member of the Board since then. Before the CEO appointment, Dr Kam has been a Member of the Executive Directorate since January 2011.
As the CEO, Dr Kam is responsible for all performance of the Company and its group companies, both in and outside Hong Kong.
Dr Kam is a member of the General Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency Governing Council, a member of the board of directors of The Community Chest of Hong Kong and a council member of The Hong Kong Management Association.
Dr Kam qualified as a Chartered member of various professional institutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has done the Advanced Management Program (AMP) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Dr Kam was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 2021.
