Inspired by the success of the dragon boat experience, many Wharton alumni suggested the club to have a long term health and fitness program where alumni and friends could participate together and do exercise and workout.

We at Wharton club of Hong Kong are proud to announce the launch of a 10 week bootcamp to promote a culture of health and fitness among our alumni. Based on the success of the initial 10 week bootcamp, it's envisaged to make it a round the year continuous event. We intend doing this event along with Penn club and other peer Schools.

The Key Objectives of the Bootcamp are the following

1. Targeting alumni of ALL AGE and ALL FITNESS LEVELS (we are not training for Olympics just making all of us stay fit)

2. Inspire each other to lead a more ACTIVE and HEALTHY LIFESTYLE (you are not alone, all of us struggle to break the sedentary lifestyle of a career in Finance and Business)

3. Build DEEP RELATIONSHIP among alumni by meeting the same alumni group every week (the dragon boat group has been meeting regularly for social events long after the dragon boat event, and is the key inspiration for this bootcamp)

4. Have a high quality PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR in natural (non-gym) settings at VALUE FOR MONEY pricing (we all know the rip-off pricing of personal fitness instructors in Hong Kong).

5. Set REALISTIC GOALS and be INSPIRED by Wharton peers who are engaged in similar high pressure profession (not the Gym Dudes but our very own Wharton alumni who have been keeping themselves fit).



Format, Pricing & Registeration:

Day and Time: for 10 Saturday's starting Feb 3rd 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Location: Tamar Park

Pricing: HKD 1,000 for 10 Sessions (friends and guests of Wharton alumni are welcome)

TO REGISTER: please make payment to The Wharton Club of HK via payment to the Club's account at HSBC (502-411531-001) with receipt emailed to Sanjay Khanduri ([email protected]). Please also provide your WhatsApp id as a group will be formed for future logistics.



Fitness Program is designed to

- provide you with fun & effective training to not only achieve your goals but maintain them for life.

- Perfect balance of strength training, cardiovascular training and flexibility/mobility to increase lean muscle mass & metabolism

- Improve cardio and pulmonary endurance, prevent injuries and promote recovery

- Bench-mark exercise AMRAP(As Many Reps As Possible) every month to track the progress

- 1 hour program is packaged with warm up excercise, high intensity Interval training (HIIT), Kick boxing, partner workout, group competition and yoga inspired stretch



About the Trainer

Jinhwa Kim, was born and raised in a city in South Korea famous for it's best tasting Apples. She majored in literature and Psychology followed with an M.B.A at a US university.

She moved to Hong Kong with a dedicated mind of climbing corporate ladder but she found herself climbing mountains and enjoying ultra-trail running in Hong Kong freeing herself from invisible steel chain of expectations & duties in her society, friends and family members.

After witnessing her transition from an average Jane to a magazine cover model as a female athlete, her desire to share her passion in Sports with others grew deeper and deeper in her heart.

Shortly after she completed NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certificate, she started working as a personal trainer while maintaining her office job.

Fast forward to present, she is a dedicated trainer as Pre/post natal corrective exercise specialist, CPR/AED certified, Ashtanga yoga practitioner & assistant teacher, and certified Thai Massage therapist.
